Vessels of the Cosmos

The origin of the Starry Children is divided into two divine lineages: those born from the high constellations of stars (High Starry Children), and those born from other celestial bodies like moons (Lunar Starry Children).

The High Starry Children are anchored directly in the High Sky to weave pathways across the cosmos, establishing eternal order and peace. In contrast, Lunar Starry Children possess the innate ability to shift fluidly between a radiant star form and a humanoid shape at will. Whenever mortals witness a falling star streak across the night, it is simply a Starry Child descending to the mortal world.

If a Lunar Starry Child chooses to anchor themselves to a humanoid form at birth, their growth is forever stunted, permanently locking them out of their star form. However, this earthly vessel grants them profound gifts: they retain the ability to read the ancient constellations, to gaze into the future, converse directly with their kin on the High Sky, and gain raw celestial energy from the Cosmos.

Starry Appearance

Starry children have striking pale blue eyes reminiscent of winter frost, elongated ears, pale whitish-blonde hair, and pale skin. They live for centuries, though their bodies run feverishly hot to the touch under the pressure of the star dust trapped inside them. They do not sleep like other mortals; instead, they enter a midnight trance which forbids them from moving, while they adopt a cosmic state of being in their soul.
